  Rotary Jiki Scale JR Series were made by Sokki Electronics until 1990.
  Magnetic Rotary Encoder JR Series have been made by Astec (Taiho Products) since 1991.
  JR Series made by Astec are same with Jiki Scale made by Sokki but with improvements.

JR205 :  Standard type of JR Seires (succeeded from Sokki) ;  AB+Z signals
This series have been used all over the world since Sokki days. Astec is making the replacementsof old JR205s, confirming detailed specification with end-users.

JR305 :  High humidity resistant type of JR205 Seires (developped by Astec) ;  AB+Z signals
The specification is same with JR205 except higher humidity resistance.

JR105 :   No index type (Modified by Astec) ;  AB signals only
The specification of JR105 is same with JR205 but without Z signal. This series was made when the MR Sensors supply for JR55 was ended.
Unfavorable change is that the necessary shaft length for JR55 used to be 19mm (0.75"), but 10mm longer shaft, 29mm (1.14"), is required for JR105 series like JR205 series now.
Favorable change is that JR105 has more selections for higher resolution of AB signals up to 2048 ppr
while JR55 had the resolutions maximum 600 ppr.

Suspended Series
 JR215 :  High temeprature (115°C max.) type of JR 205 seires (developped by Astec) ;  AB+Z signals
The production of this series is suspended because of very small number of sales. Most of customers are happy with the standard (90°C max.) type of JR205. If Astec finds high demand applications, this type may be revived.

JR55 :  No index type (developped by Astec) ;  AB signals
The production of this series is suspended when the most important part, MR sensor, ended because of RoHS directive in Europe.
